Started As A Dream

The reason why I started writing poetry is because I started "Missing You"

way too much to bare.

I had been in a relationship with an "Ungreatful Love" and when broken hearted,

I created more poems "For You".

I started to regret "My Life's Past"

and wrote a "Lil' Something From The Heart" as a release of 

emotional feelings for being far from "My Mima".

"You're My Guardian Angel", a poetic prayer I made and dedicate for you.

My father told me to inspire myself as he wrote "Dream On And On".

"Valentines Day" came along, my valentine was "Mayang, My BF".

She is the one person I feel the closest with, so I told her that we

"May Be Far Apart, But Not At Heart".

"Something" inspired me to write about my friends and family,

so I created "My Inspiration". I talked about great times with

"My Very Best Friend", why you should "Love Life", how I got "Love Struck" and

all this has "Only Just Begun" my poetry adventure.
 

"My New Year Resolution" was simple and clear.

I wanted to change what I did in my past life in the Philippines

and create a different life in a whole new world of the United States.

I started this new transformation when I met "Pollo" and

created a new "Friendship Wishlist" with a song inspired

by a novel he gifted to me "Chi-yo No Tomo".

"A Dream" it was, starting a new chapter in my life, a new world,

a new image, a new adventure.

I enjoyed celebrating birthdays writing "Appi Beeday Daddie"

and "Birthday Wishes" with "True Love".

 

I wanted to explore in my poetry, so I created a Filipino poem "Sino"

which is (Who) translated in English and inspired by the song (Who Says) by Selena Gomez.

Since I could not tell a boy I liked that I have a "Crush On You",

I wrote a lyrical poem as if I were writing in my "Diary" which had

the melody of (Butterfly Fly Away) by Miley Cyrus.

By the end of the year of 2011, I wrote a personal song "All I Want Is You"

to a special someone who is really close to my heart

but I left that certain someone that I "Love" dearly a mystery.

When "We Found Love In A Hopeless Place" came out by Rihanna,

I wrote a poem and named it after that song.

Someone just told me “You need to "Give Your Heart A Break".”

and let the love come find me.

Sooner or later, I will find I man I could say “I will be "Loving You Always".”

to and mean it with all my heart.

Until then, I will continue to write poems about you;

Mima, friends, family, love, heartbreak, inspiration, and

lyrical poems to my heart’s content.

Loving You Always

From the beginning of this year, I was curious

"Is There A Such Thing As Best Friend?"

and you answered my question.

I got to know you and I felt a connection to you.

From "My First Valentine",

'til your "Happy Birthday Babe".

We spent "Spring Break" together

until my birthday "My Heart Will Go On".

Of all the friends I have, you're the one I can be myself with.

We are "Together No Matter How Far",

the "One True Love",

and "Remember" no matter where I am

we're a "Secret Poet Couple".

"Ikaw Lang Ug Ako",

always "Just You And Me"

And no matter what, you'll always be

"Baby Ko" forever and always.

So, I dedicate "My Song For You"...

"May our love grow stronger every hour of

every day, each month, each year."

"Happy One Year Anniversary Baby Ko"

Change Of Heart

Ever since I was a little girl, I wanted to find the man of my dreams

who would tell me “You Fill My Heart” with a love so pure.

Wanted to feel true passion when “You Kiss” because “Pinoy Ka”

which was all I ever wanted.

I have suffered from “Broken Trust” before, but in this moment,

all my heart said was “I Have You, Always, Forever” and that was great.

So, this is “My Version Of Our Love Story” dedicated “Dear P”

as a short was of saying hopefully we could both

“Forgive And Forget” all the hurtful past.

Through “Poetry” is a way I can express my emotions,

and another sign saying I hope you could “Tell Me”

how you feel as well. “Puru”,

I wrote “Her Story” to inspire you that “Ikaw Unta”

would say these love letters are “By Barbie”,

the one I am madly in love with.

“Dahil Mahal” is what you claimed you felt for me,

you always dedicated “Ordinary Song” to me.

I was named the “Child Of The Sea” not because

I fell in love with “Kimpang”, but because I loved love.

The month of “April, Love Is In The Air” but by the

time people started saying “Christmas Is The Season”, 

the only love I could find was in “One’s Note”.

Now, all I have left is my song “Love Gone Mute”

and a stack of poems and notes and quotes called “Keep Smiling”.

Keep Smiling

I decided to introduce to people ”This Is Me”

And what better way than to write about a

”Valentine’s Day Birthday Girl”, a special little lady in my life.

I found a song ”Ang Balay Ni Mayang” which was

“Lucky” of me because my best friend’s nickname is Mayang.

I wrote “Mahal Ko S’ya, Hindi Ikaw” when I was hurt

by an idiot of a man.

A young inspiring fighter asked for “Thalia’s Prayer”.

She had ambition, was driven,

was highly talented and left too early.

During a poetry reading session, a reader inspired me to write

”Acrostic Optimism” which was a poem

that starts with each letter of the alphabet

and each line has its own positive quote.

I fell deeply in love with “Hazel Spanish Eyes” man of my life

who had distracted me from my passion of writing

but insisted that I follow my dreams and

continue doing what I love to do.

This year became a beginning to something

that will last my whole life and change it for the best.

I met someone who makes me feel proud and

like I am on cloud-nine.

We are expecting and starting our life

My Life’s New Journey

 

 

This Year is a “New Year, New Journey”

which excites me because I have a new “Valentine”

and our “Happy Anniversary”

will be joyous as I “Meet Mamita”

and have a “Minnie Me Celebration”

before we celebrate “Welcoming Baby”

and “She’s Blessed” at our favorite church.

 

“Remembering One Year” absolutely makes me

“Just Smile” because we have

made our “Family” before

I greet you a “Happy Thirtieth Mi Amor”.

I result to “Giving Thanks” for everything

we enjoyed together.

 

“Baby’s First Christmas” is my favorite thing to celebrate

as I remember my “Ten Year Lesson” beyond 2005

when I encountered my first broken heart and

first started my poetry passion.

I will enjoy jotting down my “2015’s Memories” for this

amazing year of “Motherhood”.
